Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's Gully Boy not only earned great reviews but also took the box office by storm. Revolving around a young guy from the Mumbai slums whose exasperation finds expression in rebellious raps, the film gave away strong messages about social inequality and an unfair distribution of privileges. Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas attend a special screening of Gully Boy in Los Angeles We earlier told you that the film was going to be screened in Los Angeles, by Amazon Studios. The screening, jointly held by Amazon Studios and Priyanka Chopra, had the actor in presence as well. Priyanka stepped into the Amazon Studios Gully Boy CAA Tastemaker screening, accompanied by husband Nick Jonas. She wore a beautiful purple and peach outfit from The Attico's Spring 2019 collection while Nick was seen in black and white casuals. The screening was also attended by director Zoya Akhtar and producer Ritesh Sidhwani.
Loosely based on the lives of street rappers Naezy and Divine, Gully Boy also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi, Kalki Koechlin, Vijay Raaz and Vijay Varma in pivotal roles. The film is also India's official entry for the Oscars 2020. It was contending with over 20 films from Hindi as well as regional industries, including Andhadhun, Article 15 and Sonchiriya.
